The Community Development and Services Department is concerned with programs for community planning, zoning and building safety, and the enforcement of building codes and neighborhood health and safety standards. The department consolidates municipal functions dealing with the maintenance, operation and repair of city streets, traffic signs and signals, street lights, side- walks, sewers, storm drains, parks and municipal buildings. This is also the place to go for renting city facilities for special events. Our mission statement says it all: "To Plan, Build and Care for the City."
